Hi, I’m Antoine Salaün. I am 26 years old and I grew up in Paris. I am insterested in Computer Vision, Ecosystems, and Science Outreach. My long-term goal is to decode elephant communication using AI.

I am doing a PhD at MIT in the BeeryLab. I build interpetable AI models to re-identify elephants and support conservation. Before that, I wrote my master thesis on fairness in concept bottleneck models. My academic path started with a Physics bachelor at EPFL, followed by a master’s in Computational Science.

I run a YouTube channel, Antoine vs Science, where I explore the miracles of science. I founded VERSUS, a documentary production company, now hiring 3 full time employees. I’ve hosted a segment on Couleur 3 (swiss national radio). I directed Zoonose, a documentary shot in the Amazon. I give hands-on science communication workshops for researchers at University of Lausanne.

My dream ? Have one foot in academia, pushing the frontiers of knowledge, and the other in the media industry, inspiring curiosity through storytelling.
